So, after a fair amount of shopping around, I picked up this piece - and so far I'm loving it. It was a bit neglected and had an awkward action when I bought it but after Grant Fouche (highly recommended) at TOMS gave it a once over it feels like butter in my hands.
So that was the purpose of starting this thread, just to show off the guitar I'm massively chuffed with ?
But OK, seeing as I've got your attention, maybe I'll use the opportunity to ask a question or two.
You will notice that the guitar does not have a pick guard, although it does have the holes and the screws for it. I sort of like the look of a pick guard on a LP and would like to find one to put it back on. Little snag though. The question I'd like to ask is, which colour and which size?
I too the guitar to Music Connection and they had a Gibson LP pick guard but the cutouts for the pups were just ever so slightly too small. I don't mind that all that much as I could probably cut it a little bit bigger. My bigger concern though is that the colour (although apparently cream) was way too dark (I'd have called it beige, not cream) and contrasted markedly with the plastic around the pups.
So are there different shades of "cream" or would my guitar require "white" and not "cream"? The plastic around the pups isn't white either so I'm confused.
