In a discussion all the way over on the
GFSA 1st Birthday thread, I proposed that in celebration of the 1st anniversary of the forum (15th October) we show our appreciation for Norio.
Norio started this site nearly a year ago and has been bearing the running costs all along, as well as putting in many hours administering the site and adding new features. I know this hasn't always been easy for him, and while he's been paying the bills here, he hasn't been able to buy much gear for himself.
So I'm starting a pledge drive to raise some money for his GAS fund, which I'll deposit into his account (all in one big impressive lookin' lump) just before his birthday on the 19th of October. He's already been told he's only allowed to spend it on musical gear for himself, no paying bills, putting petrol in the car or buying food.
I know not everyone will be able to afford much, or even anything at all, so all I ask is you donate what you can, be it R1 or R1,000. I'm not intending to tell Norio who gave what - that's not what this is about. It's simply a "Thank You!" (cue Led Zep) from
all of us here at guitarforum.co.za to show our appreciation.
Those interested in participating please pay directly into the account listed below (yes, it's mine - but I promise to be good and not misappropriate it for my own GAS fund).
BANK DETAILS:
Name: Alan Ratcliffe
Bank: Nedbank
Branch: Constantia
Account #: 1042 313 504
Please add the word "Norio" to your deposit, so I can clearly see which deposits are for this.
