Just joined, never knew this existed.

I have been playing since on and off since 1979. Never really taking it that serious untill recently. Being a teenager in the Seventies was great as I followed Led Zeppelin. I even saw "The Song remains the Same" at the Colliseum with about 100 speakers. This got me on the Guitar road. I was bitterly dissapointed after buying a cheap electric guitar and I couldn't play the freaker. Tossed it into my cupboard for a couple of years. Got a Yamaha Nylon in 1979 and started learning all the basic things. Life happened and lost a bit of interest but am on the road back.
I have the same Yamaha Nylon(almost as valuable as my wife), A Takamine FP325SRCA Electro Acoustic , And a Peavey T-60.
My major problem is not really picking a style, because I like so many styles.
Classical blows me away, Jazz freaks me out etc.
Guitarists that I enjoy are - Steve Morse, Jimmy Page, Tommy Emannuel , Steve Howe , Steve Hackett , Nuno Bettencourt , Robben Ford, George Benson (I love his sound), Gilmour (only guitarist who gives me goosebumps), Tuck Andress, just too many to mention.
I dig metal as well! Actually anything that has guitars.

So I am 45 year old Teenager who still buys "Total Guitar", Guitarist etc . I even enjoyed working out the riff to "fallen leaves" by Billy Talent.

Any good guitar teachers in the West Rand, need to get advice

Good taste in music. I have seen a few clips of Tuck and Patti Andress - enough to know I like him, and I've long been meaning to investigate him, as he does a similar (but Jazz oriented) thing to me, with percussive stuff on an electric guitar. However, I don't know where to start - any recommendations for albums to listen to?

Tuck is incredible
Try "The Best of Tuck and Patti" this covers the best stuff from their first few albums.
If you cant stand Patti's voice, try Tucks Solo "reckless precision"
Have you heard Monte Montgomery? He also attacks the guitar.
Both Tuck and Monte do good versions of Hendrix's Little wing.

Is that a common complaint? I must be honest I was kind of focused on him the one show of theirs I saw.
