Man, you have got to put up some pics of your stuff - first and foremost your Marshall 18W, and secondly your '61 jazzmaster. ???
I'll drag the old Marshall out of storage and take a few pics - it's been around the block a few times. I found the tone to be a bit muddy. The valves blew recently and although I had managed to find a bunch of new ones a few years ago it is making a rather unpleasant hum (biasing?). For that reason it is lurking in a dark and dusty place!
The Jazzmaster has been refinished and is sporting new Klusons and tortoiseshell pickguard as the original had shrunk like a guitar collectors bank balance. She also has a new Seymour in the neck position and needs one in the bridge too. I got her as an absolute write off so she's in miraculous shape. I have previously mentioned that the slab fretboard has been shaved down to a normal one due to the furrows worn in it. There is still one left - pic to follow. She sits on a stand in my lounge, in front of my old Princeton and an old 50/60's Harmony Uke. A nice display.
