Hahaha yeah I guess thats my playing face when I'm concentrating or just chilling, couldn't move too much on that stage cause I didnt trust it, just tapping your foot was a dangerous thing! Also we're a pretty big band, so space is hard to find...

lol it was her idea but my step brothers tie, and I quite liked it actually ?

Didnt actually see anyone use the congas, so I assume it was someone who played before we got there, there was a band called Triple B, a group of 3 people whos name I don't know (possibly Zephyr), 34 South and a guy called Lance Goldman who played to backing tracks but apparently normally plays with Grant Halliday and co

Looks like a blast Arno... those truck rigs are.... interesting. We played the Huisgenoot one for Big Blues fest, it was alright after they covered the You Magazine faces with some banners ?

Live TheVenue is a fantastic new venue in Durbs. The Sound is fantastic and the lighting brilliant. We were privileged to play there and in great company with many other driving Durbs bands... Avade, The East Coast Basement Blues Band, Zwarte Piet Band, Salty Dog and Zaffa.
We are mainly a cover band playing a mix of stuff from rockabilly to jazz ballads, blues, rock, folk, country and pop. For this gig we played some traditional blues (Big Bill Broonsy), Chicago, Beatles, Bee Gees, Spencer Davis and a couple of our originals. Great fun.

Live is an amazing venue. Nearly all of the performers and attendees have said that it is without doubt one of the best venues in SA. If any of you guys are ever in Durban, you MUST go and check it out.

Totally agreed on this! Live is amazing, I walked in, took 1 look at the tube amps mic'd up on stage and already knew I was in for a good night!
You must let us know when you guys perform again Pete, I'd like to hear you with your whole band, your performance alone is something great so I can only imagine with the band!

He's sponsored/endorsed by Turnkey, so yes, Crafter it is. Nice sounding box, but like with all acoustics, you gotta use the Feedback Buster to eliminate unwanted humming through the monitors....

Yes, you get the good trucks and the uh-uhm...not os good ones. The one at the German beerfest was a good one. It had the EAW Array Rig with 20K a side. So it was plenty. Pity the sun got us...

I enjoyed it. For once I wasn't nervous - which is saying a lot since the first time I had to get on a stage my hands shook so badly I could barely play. There was a bit of a problem with my PA - which we later found out was because of wires - so I played the second show through someone's amp (of which the corner's in the pic). I'd definitely like to gig there again in the near future, especially because it has such a chilled out atmosphere.

As for the pants, I never noticed that until now. ???

Awesome... solo gigs are 10x more nerve wracking than bands I reckon! That electric is sweeeet...
Also, ignore the monkey, he's a real fashion nazi... forever telling us to put pants on as well - and during gigs even ?
